What stands out about the last two weeks?

Most notably the experience of being in a large City Hall of 20 floors. Each contains a

I learned the semester ends on a Wednesday, not on a Friday.  The panic shceduled for Friday was pushed up to Wed.

I just learned the word for every two years is biennial, not 'biannual.'

Last Saturday I wrote all of 8 lines on operation Popeye that I can find.  Here's to getting to 9 lines.

Lay off all of his employees who don't contribute anything.  change the rules to take more from the students.

Arizona state law caps how much the school can raise tuition.  Our Dean's solution?  take the school private by rejecting all state funding so he can raise the tuition as much as he wants.  I wish that I was joking.

Before this my suit buying experience was one trip in 1997 with my Dad to George's in downtown Manchester.  They had like 5 salesmen who had been selling suits Are You Being Served fashion probably since my Dad was my age.  Also a labrynth of racks in no particular order.

Tomorrow I see a specialist referred to by Doc in a box.  His address had changed since Feb when I got it so I google him.

I found his new address and a $10,000 settlement with the medical board of Florida.  Turns out he "failed to meet the standard of care of a reasonably prudent phyisician."  So that's probably why he moved to Arizona which has ( Read more... )
